City of Altoona Engineering Department Manager

The City of Altoona is actively seeking qualified individuals to fulfill the role of Engineering Department Manager within the Public Works Department. Applicants interested in the position must have an Associate’s Degree in Engineering or construction-related field with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience working in highway, flood control, building, utility and bridge construction, inspection and design. Individuals must also have two (2) years supervisory and five (5) years of direct construction project management experience. Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with employees, contractors, construction workers, other governmental agency representatives, City officials, and the general public are essential.
